About This Painting:
Painted 'en plein air" outdoors in the garden. The butterfly was busy gathering nectar long enough for me to paint him in quickly and then take my time with the buddleia (butterfly bush). Butterflies are a wonderful object lessons from nature about the possibilities of transformation, renewal and about the possibility rise above what we were. In a nut shell they symbolize God's grace.
